Simple Bow Tutorial

Have you ever wondered or sat there for hours trying to figure out how to make that perfect simple bow that's found on just about everything? Well then I think I have the perfect tutorial for you. Check it out...

Cut a out a piece of ribbon, the length depends on how large or small you would like your bow to be (this particular one is 32 inches in length).

*Keep in mind that you should either use a solid colored ribbon or a two sided patterned ribbon, a single sided patterned ribbon will show two different views/colors and will not look so good*

Next, match ends of ribbon and diagonally cut them for a more professional look. You can also do this after the bow is done as well.

Then make two loops with the ribbon. Do not pin them as I did in the picture, the only reason for this was because I had to take a picture and could not hold it. Hold with your fingers where the pins are located.

Next, take the two loops that you made and cross them to make an X. Again, you do not need to pin. Hold with you fingers where the pin is located.

Then take the top loop and fold under and through hole. Pull loop all the way through without pulling too tight. Flip the ribbon tail over. Adjust tail length and loops until satisfied and there you have it.

This is the finished product. You can add this as embellishments to bags, totes, headbands, clips, clothing, or even send your little girl to school with bow fashion! You can make these in many different colors and sizes as I have below....

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and please let me know if you have any questions or advice you would like to pass on. :)
